Fishing Off The Hook is a cool Java fishing game designed and developed for Symbian S60 v5 based touch screen mobiles. Behind your rod, you can see a power gauge which indicates how far your throw will be. Charge it until the desired strength and release to throw the line.
When a fish bites the bait an exclamation mark appears over the fish, and you can reel it in. When the line suffers too much tension, it becomes red. Release the line for a while to ease the tension, otherwise it might break. There are two game modes:
- Quick Game: You are given 120 seconds to catch as many fish as you can. Every time you fill your scale you get additional 30 seconds. The weight fished is added to your score. If you catch over 65 lbs, you will get a visit from a very rare inhabitant of the waters!
- Tournament: Compete in each tournament to become the best fisherman in the world. Each type of tournament has a certain number of rounds. Amateur has 3, Professional 9 and Elite 15. Your game is saved at the end of each round. if you leave the game, you can continue from the last saved round. The tournament winner is the one who has the most wins or, in case of a draw the one with the most weight caught. When win a round, you get a star to improve your equipment: the rod, the line and the bait. In the Amateur Tournament, you can only get up to 3 stars. In the Professional Tournament, you can only get up to 9 stars. You can get the rest of the stars in Elite Tournament.
