Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo is a cool puzzle game where the player controls pairs of blocks (gems) that drop into a pit-like playfield (twelve blocks tall by six blocks wide, with the fourth column from the left being thirteen blocks high). In Puzzle Fighter game, gems can only be eliminated by coming into contact with a Crash Gem of the same color, which eliminates all adjacent gems of that color, setting up the potential for huge chain reactions.
Compete in intense battles of wit and speed in the mobile version of the arcade classic. As a linked pair of gems descends from the top of the screen, players move and rotate them to form groups and piles of the same color. By destroying these groups of gems with either a crash or rainbow gem, players can send counter gems to fall onto their hapless rival. When the opponent’s screen is filled up and no more moves are available, the player wins the game.
Two gems fall each turn. Join gems of the same color into large rectangles to form power gems. damage your opponents by exploding power gems. Counter gems fall when the opponent's counter bar is full. Break a counter gem by breaking a normal adjacent gem. Counter gems become normal gems after a few turns. Crash gems break adjacent gems of the same color. Diamonds fall every 25 turns. Diamonds break every gem of one color.
Use a crash gem to cause other crash gems to break and create a chain combo. Chain combos increase the damage you deal to your opponent. Counter bar is a blue bar that represents your opponent's attack gauge. When this bar is full, your opponent will attack by dropping counter gems. Hit point bar is a yellow bar that represents your opponent's life. Empty this bar to win the game.
Your playing field is 6 columns wide. Your new pieces always fall from column 4. You lose when column 4 is full. There are 3 game modes:
- Solo Mode: The objective is to defeat all remaining characters. You win when your opponent's life bar is fully depleted.
- VS Mode: In VS mode, you can fight against another character of your choice. You win when when your opponent's life bar is fully depleted.
- Challenge Mode: In this mode, all gems that fall are counter gems. Try to survive as long as possible to get the best possible score.
